Images I still think about

These images have had a role in the development of my thinking about photography. While I have always wanted to find these, and similar images, to be sufficient, as in they did not need anything else to support them or to add to them, that is obviously not what I settled on nor how I have worked. However, these images are ones that marked some important point for me or that I had learned something significant from. I have seldom taken a trip (other than an afternoon drive) just to photograph something nor have I staked a career on "this is what I do." Rather, every subject matter and every opportunity to make a photograph seemed significant.  While I have generally been unwilling to exhibit these, I have started to understand that they have been reference points or anchors for a lot of the "reconstructed" work I have made and continue to make, and that they have value in their own right.
